Watch how a Shichida student amazed Australia on national television.
🎥 Can you really start learning at 6 months old? YES! Watch how the Shichida Method is redefining what early learning looks like.
As Seen on National TV: The Project (Channel 10)
On 17th November 2017, one of our young Shichida students was featured on The Project – Australia’s national television program – for demonstrating exceptional memory and concentration skills at just five years old.
Filmed at our Chatswood centre, the segment shows the child confidently completing advanced memory challenges on camera – impressing both the hosts and viewers across the country.
What Happens in the Video
In this inspiring feature, we meet five-year-old Leila, a cheerful little girl with a big imagination – and an incredible memory. Between drawing, dress-ups and playtime, she’s also able to recite Pi to 100 decimal places.
Her story began at just six months old, when her parents introduced her to the Shichida Method, a whole-brain training program that has been helping children build focus, memory and confidence for more than 60 years.
Shichida on The Project
Throughout the video, you’ll see how:
- Babies and toddlers engage through music, flashcards and fun group activities.
- Parents take part in every class, creating powerful bonding moments.
- Teachers nurture attention span and recall through short, stimulating tasks.
- Children grow up viewing learning as something joyful, not pressured.
The Shichida Philosophy
At the heart of the Shichida Method is the belief that a child’s brain is most absorbent in the first few years of life – this is called the Golden Period of development. Lessons use songs, rhythm, imagery and gentle repetition to train memory, emotional intelligence and problem-solving – all while keeping children happily engaged.
Parents love that it’s not about creating “baby geniuses”, but about unlocking each child’s natural learning potential. As one mum in the video explains, “We just wanted a well-rounded, happy little girl – and that’s exactly who she’s become.”
Expert Perspective
While some experts question the need for formal learning before school, Shichida parents see clear benefits: stronger focus, better communication skills, and a lifelong love of learning. The program’s success lies in its balance – combining play, parental connection and proven memory-training techniques.
Why This Matters
In a world where attention spans are shrinking, early learning that blends fun and neuroscience can make a lasting difference. The Shichida Method provides a ready-made structure for parents who want meaningful activities that support their young children’s growth – without guesswork or overwhelm.
Experience It for Yourself
This is not about “genius children.”
It’s about what can happen when the brain is nurtured during its most powerful years of development.
At Shichida, we focus on:
- Strengthening memory capacity
- Developing deep concentration
- Building strong numeracy foundations
- Cultivating confidence and a love of learning
Every child develops differently. But when early education is done intentionally – the results can be remarkable.
Imagine What Your Child Could Achieve
The early years (0–6) are when the brain develops faster than at any other stage of life.
If you’re curious about what your child is capable of with the right stimulation and environment, we invite you to experience a Shichida class firsthand.
